'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead
